A rigid sole makes the step drag; this one is flexible and bends right at the toes, where the foot pushes off: these are barefoot sneakers in leather, zero drop, with the foot level from heel to toe.

That sole is lightweight too, and its non-slip tread gives the friction not to slip; FOAMtech takes the place of the internal heel counter and guides the heel without stiffening it, with the Podologic seal from the Official College of Podiatrists behind it. The On Steam textile of the lining and the insole is breathable and lets the vapour escape while walking, and the insole is removable, to air it and to see the room left at the front. The adjustable fastening brings the fit back every time the shoe goes on, and the reinforced toe cap stands up to rubbing against the ground.
