Our Achievements:

Over the years we have been honoured to receive various awards from the highly regarded Drapers including Highly Commended Independent Retailer in 2022. We were delighted to be shortlisted again in 2025 in three different categories', with Jen Tait winning Store Member of the Year for her Rebranding of the business!

What we stand for:

    We are truly independent and locally owned, by Jen (and Ava aged 8.5) Jen is passionate about keeping our high street alive, whilst having fun.

  • Customer Service:

    We have a small team of experienced staff some of which have been with us from the start. We work together as a team to help you find the right shoes and fit. 

  • Huge Range:

    We pack a punch, for a tiny shop we manage to stock a HUGE range of options that fit every type of foot, from narrow to wide, and everything inbetween

We’re proud to have a dedicated team of 11 highly trained and experienced staff who are passionate about finding the perfect fit for every child. Our team is here to offer expert advice and friendly service - so you can shop with confidence knowing your little or big feet are in safe hands.

Jen W

Jen has owned the business since 2019 and has years of retail and management experience. Jen loves having a tight wee team in store keeping the atmosphere fun and the kettle on!

Jen's favourite brand is Froddo and more recently TT Kids - the colours are amazing!

Michelle

Michelle has been with us for 10 years now. Having worked in all of the original Maddie and Mark's stores Michelle is the OG Maddie and Mark's employee. Michelle's favourite brand is Ricosta!

Supervisor/Social media manager

Jen T

Jen has been with us for 6 years now. Recent graduate in Graphic Design and the face behind the recent rebrand. Jen is off travelling from September, but she will be back to help us get our socials buzzing BTS from December. Jen's favourite brand is Geox!

Supervisor/Vinted Sales

Alex

Alex has been with us for 4 years now. Alex is our pageant queen and mainly works at a local nursery taking care of a lot of our customers, but she's always on hand to help during busier periods. Alex's favourite brand is Skechers.

Supervisor/ Dionasour enthusiast

Sammi

Sammi has been with us for just over a year. Having previously worked at Rogerson's Footwear alongside owner Jen. Sammi has fantastic shoe knowledge and volunteers at a theatre club! Sammi's favourite brand is Bobux.

Sales Assistant/ Olive enthusiast

Leila

Lelia has been with us for 2 years now. A freshly graduated historian who has had great shoe experience having worked at Camper and a children's shoe boutique in London. Lelia's favourite brand is Froddo.

Breagh has been with us for a year now! About to start university studying business, but will be back during the holidays to help. Breagh's favourite brand is Ricosta!

Meet Maddie, designed by lovely Ava. Maddie's hobbies include hockey, gymnastics, art's and crafts, and drinking pink lemonade.

Maddie's favourite book is Isadora Moon, favourite colour is pink, and loves the Great British Bake Off.

Meet Mark, designed by the amazing Flora. Mark's hobbies include racing his friends, being a party animal and super sporty.

Mark's favourite shoes are trainers, his favourite season is spring and favourite food is pancakes with banana and honey.

Meet Pup Pup, designed by the amazing Robin. Pup Pup's hobbies include playing tig, football, chasing cats and making new friends.

Pup Pup can jump really high, Pup Pup's favourite food is biscuits and favourite season is summer.

Meet Susie, designed by the amazing Arran. Susie's hobbies include tennis, star gazing, swimming in the sea, writing in her diary and going to parties.

Susie likes to read the Babysitters Club, watch Harry Potter and has two guinea pigs.
